Theater-for-Youth Day Camp, Ages 7-13
Monday through Friday, 9am to 4:00pm.

The day camp is for young people looking for a way to explore self expression. We’re not only about acting. Backstage crafts, and especially play writing are also emphasized. No audition is required.

PRODUCTIONS:

Campers will be cast or assigned to backstage tasks on one of two plays performed for a public audience the last weekend of the program.

WORKSHOPS:

Campers learn through creative play in workshops on subjects such as Creating Characters, Masks and Performance, Using and Becoming Objects, Improvisation, Warming up Your Tongue, and Behind-the-Scenes Crafts.

A typical day:

8:30-9:00 arrivals
9:00-9:30 creative activities and warmups
9:30-12:30 REHEARSALS and WORKSHOPS
12:30-1:30 lunch (brought from home)

1:30-3:30 WORKSHOPS and REHEARSALS
3:30-4:00 snacks and journal writing/drawing
4:00 pickup
