Interdisciplinary Fine Arts Track in Dance Arts
As of the Fall of 2006, the College of Fine Arts has been offering an Interdisciplinary Fine Arts (IFA) degree with a track in Dance Arts. The Interdisciplinary Fine Arts/Dance Arts Track focuses on the art of dance with a primary integration of dance and theater and a secondary integration of music and/or art. This degree track is largely based in the Department of Theater and Dance. All applicants for the Dance Arts IFA track must pass through an audition/interview process once accepted to IUP in order to be accepted into this degree program.
The audition/interview process for the IFA
Dance Arts track involves the following:
1) 60-90 second dance demonstrating technical proficiency & performance
capabilities at the intermediate level of either ballet or modern dance
technique.
2) 60-90 second dance demonstrating technical proficiency & performance
capabilities at the intermediate level in a secondary area selected from
ballet, tap, jazz, modern, ballroom or ethnic styles.
3) Interview with department faculty
