Statement of Teaching Philosophy

It is my belief that each student is, first and foremost, an individual. Every student has a different personality, style of learning and background. As an educator it is my responsibility to learn the needs of each student and how to establish a meaningful level of communication with them. While every student is unique, the only path to success is through dedication and discipline. High goals and expectations produce a high level of competency. It is also my role as an educator and professional musician not only to pass on knowledge to my students but to instill in them a love and respect for the art of music.
