Judith Radell holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance from the University of Illinois. As a soloist and chamber musician, Dr. Radell has performed in such venues as the Dame Myra Hess Concerts in Chicago, the Frick Museum in Pittsburgh (broadcast on WQED-FM's "Performance in Pittsburgh"), Philadelphia's Free Library and University of the Arts, and IUP's Festivals of Women Composers. In 1991, she received the first Music Performance Fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, enabling her to present lecture-recitals of music by women composers in communities and on college campuses throughout Pennsylvania. Dr. Radell's publications include a critical edition of chamber music by the British-American composer, Clara Kathleen Rogers (with Dieter Wulfhorst; Middleton, WI: A-R Editions, Inc., 2001), and essays on Clara Rogers for the anthology, Women Composers: Music Through the Ages (with Delight Malitsky; New York: G.K. Hall, Vol. 6, 1999; Vol. 7, forthcoming).
